Review of Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles for Women

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I recently received a pair of Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Insoles for Women, and I wanted to share with you my thoughts on this product.

I decided to put these insoles into my black Calvin Klein pumps that I showed in my Classy and Polished Outfit for Professional or Business Casual Events post.  I reach for these heels most frequently whenever I need to dress up for an event, and I usually end up on my feet all day for these events.  So, it's really important to me that I wear shoes that are comfortable.  Even though these heels were already pretty comfortable before I put in the insoles, these Dr. Scholl's insoles made a huge difference in comfort level.

I love how this product actually lives up to its claims!  Before I even opened the package, I could already feel how these gel insoles would provide great cushioning.  When I slipped my feet into my shoes with the insoles in place, my feet were so comfortable.  I think that these insoles were able to distribute my weight evenly, making the shoes much more comfortable for my entire foot.  Also, the insoles made my shoes feel super soft and pillow-like when I stood up.

I think that for all heels, when you wear them for an extended period of time, your feet will begin to feel some pain.  Usually, when I wear the Calvin Klein shoes and walk around in them all day, my feet start to feel some discomfort after about 6 hours of wear.  So, for the last 2 hours of my day, the discomfort usually gets worse and worse, until I can't wait to get my shoes off!  However, when I wore these shoes with the Dr. Scholl's insole, I didn't feel any discomfort.  I hardly even noticed that I was wearing these heels because I didn't feel a necessity to take off the shoes.

Overall, I highly recommend these Dr. Scholl's insoles to anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet.  I even think that these insoles would be perfect for any pair of shoes!  If you are looking for a luxurious addition to add to your shoes, these insoles would work great for making your feet feel comfortable and pain-free.  You will definitely want to check out this product the next time you go shopping.

I hope you enjoyed this review, and let me know if you have any questions or requests in the comments below!

My DIY Dupe for the JewelMint Pearl Fleur Necklace!

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I recently saw a picture of the JewelMint Pearl Fleur Necklace, and I fell in love with how simple yet pretty it is!  However, I can't buy it since it's sold out on the website.  So, I decided to DIY it!

I think that this is a great jewelry piece to add to your collection.  It's simple, classic, and timeless.  Just adding this necklace would help make any outfit look a lot more chic, polished, and elegant.  It would look lovely with a simple, black sheath dress for a professional or business casual event.  I also think that the pearl ring on this necklace is simply gorgeous; the ring has a nice balance of shine and class.  The wavy design of the crystals around the pearl is another really nice detail.  The best part about this necklace is that it's a 2-for-1 deal!  You could wear it as a necklace or as a ring if you take the ring off the chain.

This is my version of the JewelMint Pearl Fleur Necklace:

I used a thicker silver chain because that happened to be the only silver chain I had on hand.  You could definitely use a thin or thick chain when you make your necklace.  Also, the JewelMint necklace is 18" in length, but I just made my necklace a length that I thought would look good on me.  I'm not even sure how long the chain is.  I do recommend that you attach an extender to your chain when you make your necklace because it will give you some wiggle room in terms of chain length; it gives you an option to wear your necklace at longer or shorter lengths.

I think that the pearl ring I found looks quite similar to the ring JewelMint used!  However, it really doesn't matter what ring you choose to use for your necklace.  As long as you like it and you can wear it as a ring on your fingers, then you should use it!

Classy and Polished Outfit for Professional or Business Casual Events

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I wanted to show you what I wore for a professional event today!  I know that it can be difficult to figure out what to wear for professional or business casual events; you want be dressed appropriately for the event and in a way that fits your age.  Check out my video of this outfit on Youtube!

Pearl Studs, Necklace, and Bracelet:  Gift
Gold and Crystal Bangles:  PacSun
Gold Filigree and Faux Pearl Bracelet:  eBay
Shirt:  Express
Skirt:  Charlotte Russe
Heels:  Calvin Klein/Dillard's
Cardigan:  Old Navy

I chose the red v-neck top because it has a really pretty and vibrant color to dress up this outfit.  After all, dressing up like this doesn't have to be completely boring!  It's definitely important to spice it up and bring out your personality while still looking professional.  I love how the v-neck on this shirt stops at an appropriate length and doesn't expose too much cleavage.  The ruched detailing at the neckline also adds an extra flair and makes the shirt much more feminine.

I chose the black pencil skirt because it came with a simple belt that really emphasizes the waist and breaks up the torso from the legs.  Pencil skirts, a classic choice for professional dress, are excellent for defining your figure and playing up your curves.  It's also a great choice for this outfit because it hits at the knees and shows a respectable amount of leg.

I love the black pointy-toed Calvin Klein heels in this outfit!  They are so classy and work great for elongating the legs even though they aren't nude pumps.

Going along with the classy  look of the clothing in this outfit, I chose to accessorize with my pearls.  I love how they just pull together the whole look and make me feel glamorous!  I had to wear my bangles to add some sparkle.  I like how the crystals in the bangle really shine and contrast the simplicity of the pearl bracelet.  I'm really loving the bangle, pearl bracelet, bangle combo!  I'm also wearing my filigree bracelet on the other arm because it's so little and dainty that it would just be covered entirely if I wore it on my arm with the bangles and pearl bracelet.  If I don't want to clink and make noises throughout the day via the bangles, I would totally just wear the filigree bracelet.

Top it all off with a simple white cardigan and you're ready to go!  I love how this cardigan has a cropped length so that it can pair very nicely with the pencil skirt.

I hope you enjoy this outfit!  Let me know if you have any questions or have requests for more outfits like this one.

Linda
