Review of Pure Argan Oil for Hair & Skin from Cleopatra's Choice

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I have never told you about this part of me before, but I am going to now:  I am an avid swimmer.  I have been swimming ever since I was a tiny little girl, and I just can't get enough of it!  I swim every day, and in my opinion, the downside to swimming so often is the chlorine exposure.  Swimming pools are treated with chlorine for the chlorine's disinfecting properties, but that also means that the chlorine gets on swimmers.  Since I hate smelling like chlorine, I always shower and wash my hair after swimming.  However, that means I wash my hair every day, and it's not good to wash your hair so often.  When you wash your hair too much, you end up stripping your hair of the natural oils coating it to keep it healthy and strong.  I feel like my hair looks more frizzy and damaged because of how often I wash my hair, and I have noticed that it grows really slowly.  So, I'm always on the look out for new hair treatment products that could help counterbalance my need to shampoo my hair every day.

I was super excited when I found out about Cleopatra's Choice, which offers products for your face, body, hair, and more!  Considering how much I abuse my hair, I desperately need some products to pamper it.  It's so awesome that they only offer quality products with the highest standards and that most of the product line is cruelty free and vegan friendly.  There are so many different products made with natural ingredients for beautiful, youthful skin and healthy hair.

I received the Pure Argan Oil for Hair & Skin to review.

I really enjoy the packaging for this product.  The bottle looks nice and simple, and it is so easy to dispense the oil.  It kind of reminds me of a medicine bottle in appearance and function.

At first, I was hesitant about using this product because it is pure oil!  It seemed like such a strange product to put on my hair, but I decided to try it out anyway.  After I finished working the oil through all of my thick hair and onto my scalp, my hair was so greasy in appearance that I probably looked as if I hadn't showered in a month!  I waited 20 minutes to let the oil sink into my hair, and then I proceeded to shower and wash my hair as I normally do.    After using the argan oil, I can see the improvements in my hair and feel the difference in my hair texture.  I have noticed that this product leaves my hair sleeker and shinier, and I don't have as much of a problem with frizz.  My hair also feel super soft and silky, better than it has ever felt before.  My hair feels so much stronger, and I hope it will grow faster now too!

I have also used the argan oil on my knees and elbows because I feel like those areas get drier more often than the rest of my body.  I just apply a little bit every day, and now they feel softer and smoother!  My skin is all ready for summer clothes and I don't have to feel self-conscious.

I hope you enjoyed this review, and let me know if you have any questions or requests in the comments below!

Hey everyone!

I have mentioned before that I moving into a new apartment.  Well, I have actually finished moving all of my stuff into the apartment, but I am still working on unpacking everything.  I have moved all of my furniture and other large items into my room, and I finally have it all organized in a way that I like!  So, I thought I would share with you some pictures of my new room.

As you can see, I still have a long way to go with my room.  Right now, I pretty much have my bare necessities like my bed, my desk, etc. in place and organized.  Almost all of my stuff is still in boxes, and every day after work, I am slowly finding new homes for everything.  I still need to get my clothes, makeup, jewelry, and other little things moved out and organized in a way that works for me.  I thought it would be fun for you and for me if I did several posts showing how I organize my stuff.  So, stay tuned for more posts about my apartment and organization!

I hope you enjoyed this post!  I know that it's different from what I usually post, but I had a lot of fun taking the pictures and I have so many ideas for organization.  I can't wait to share everything with you!

Simple, Casual Summer Outfit

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

It's been quite a while since my last outfit post, and I just wanted to share with you this simple, casual summer outfit.  This is a perfect outfit for just hanging out with some friends or running errands

I designed this outfit with the Black Center Flower Buckle from Belt Buckle Boutique as the centerpiece.  I decided to pair this belt with a pair of white jean shorts and a bright mint-colored v-neck t-shirt.  The white jean shorts are perfect for contrasting with the dark color of the belt and buckle.  Also, the rough texture of the jean shorts complement the texture and weathered appearance of the brown belt.  The mint shirt is really great for this casual summer outfit because it's such a fun and bright color.  I chose to do a twist on the usual green and brown earth tone combination by using the mint green color.  The belt really helps to separate the light colors of my shirt and shorts from each other.  Also, the flower buckle is perfect for adding a touch of femininity to this outfit.

Earrings:  PacSun
Necklace:  Gift
Shirt:  Abercrombie & Fitch
Belt & Buckle c/o Belt Buckle Boutique
Bracelet:  eBay
Shorts:  American Eagle
Sandals:  Forever 21

If you are interested in the buckle in this outfit, then you're in luck!  You can enter my giveaway to win a buckle from Belt Buckle Boutique :)  All you have to do is click here to enter.

Of course, the main accessory in this outfit is the belt and buckle.  So, to avoid competing with the belt and buckle, I chose more subdued pieces for my jewelry.  I put on a pair of gold and pearl flower studs to further the flower theme from the buckle.  Also, the studs work well with this outfit because the gold color coordinates beautifully with the mint-colored shirt.  I have on my silver butterfly pendant necklace that I always wear.  The necklace really adds to this outfit because the buckle is an antique silver color.  For my wrists, I chose a simple brown faux leather wrap bracelet with gold studs to imitate the look of the brown belt.  I finished off this outfit with my glittery gold and brown t-strap sandals.

I hope you enjoy this outfit!

Belt Buckle Boutique Review and Giveaway!

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I recently discovered Belt Buckle Boutique, which offers a large selection of belts and buckles.  The aspect that I really enjoy about this company is it's versatility.  When you shop on the website, you have so many options! You can select the buckle and the belt that you think would best fit you and combine together wonderfully.  Also, you can buy several different buckles to pair with one belt because all of the buckles are interchangeable.  All you have to do is pick out the leather belt of your choice and the snap-on buckles you prefer out of their many different belt and buckle styles.  You can pick the buckle that works best for accessorizing with your outfit or you can pick the buckle that reflects your mood!  The belts and buckles offered by Belt Buckle Boutique work to really complete your outfits.

Belt Buckle Boutique offers western belt buckles, fashion rhinestone belt buckles, silver buckles, flower buckles, and more!  These are some buckles that really caught my eye!

I received a dark brown belt and the Black Center Flower Buckle to review!

The buckle is very beautiful and adds an understated touch of femininity to any outfit.  It is an antique silver color, and the round black center seems to be made out of enamel.  The design of this buckle is super intricate and detailed, reminding me of the Rococo Style that was very popular during the 18th century.  Sometimes, when I look at the buckle, it makes me think of a black sun with rays surrounded by a ring of light.  It feels like this buckle is very sturdy and made out of great quality material.  It also looks like this buckle would be super easy to remove if I wanted to move it to a different belt or use a different buckle with the dark brown belt.  This belt buckle fits all of the belts available for purchase at Belt Buckle Boutique as well as other belts up to 1 1/2" width.  The buckle is oval in shape and measures 3 1/3" x 3".

The belt can be worn with any bottoms because it is the perfect width.  Also, it is leather with a slightly rough texture.  The belt has a weathered appearance with light brown on the edges, making it perfect for dressing down any outfit.  This belt seems like it will last a long time, and it's a great addition to my closet.

Belt Buckle Boutique has generously offered to give away a belt buckle to one lucky winner!  Thanks, Belt Buckle Boutique!

Good Luck!

I'm Back!

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I have finally returned from my 3 week vacation that I mentioned earlier in this post.  I filmed a video to put up on my Youtube channel before I left for vacation, but I didn't have enough time to edit it.  So, I'll be editing that video and putting it up soon!  Also, I know that I promised to share pictures from my trip when I returned.  However, I didn't bring my laptop on vacation and I downloaded all of my pictures onto my dad's laptop when my camera's memory card filled up.  I don't have any of the pictures with me right now to share with you :(  I will get those pictures from my dad the next time I visit my parents, so expect to see a post about my vacation later!  That's all I have to share about my vacation for now, and I hope to put up a lot more posts soon.  Please give me a little bit of time to catch up on everything that I missed while I was on vacation, as well as to finish moving into my new apartment.

I have missed you all so much while I was gone, and I'm so happy to be back!  :)

Almay Liquid Eyeliner Pen Review

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

The liquid eyeliner that I have been using a lot lately is starting to dry up, and I wanted to try something different.  So, I picked up the Almay Liquid Eyeliner Pen in Black.

After using this product several times, I have noticed that there are several pros and cons to this liquid eyeliner.
Pros:
  • It is so easy to use this eyeliner.  It's just like a marker!  All you have to do is draw the line on your eyelid.
  • This eyeliner has a really fine felt tip, making it easy to draw a really thin line on your eyelid.  You can be much more precise in your eyeliner application with this product.
  • You don't need to dip the eyeliner tip into the container for more product when you use up everything on the felt tip.
  • This eyeliner has a sleek, small packaging.  It's really easy to throw this eyeliner into your bag and take it with you everywhere.
  • The lid clicks into place and securely stays in place.  Since I know that the lid won't come off easily, I feel much more at ease about putting this eyeliner in my purse.
  • This eyeliner also dries really fast after you apply it to your eyelid.  Since I have a monolid, when I open my eyes, the part of my eyelid closest to my lash line slides underneath the rest of my eyelid.  So, if the liquid eyeliner doesn't dry immediately, it will smear all over my eyelid when I open my eyes.  I love knowing that I can open my eyes after applying this eyeliner and it won't smear everywhere!
Cons:
  • This eyeliner is not as dark and black as I would like it to be.  For my liquid eyeliners, I prefer wearing a really dark, black color.  With this eyeliner, I need to go over the line several times to get the color black enough.
  • This eyeliner is not waterproof and doesn't work well if you have oily lids.  When it gets hot and humid outside, this eyeliner will start smearing and smudging all over the place.  On several really warm days, I have noticed large black smudges all over my eyelids because of this eyeliner.
I hope you enjoyed this review, and let me know if you have any questions or requests in the comments below as well!

Maybelline Expert Eyes Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover for Waterproof Eye Makeup Review

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

Last month, I went to the drugstore to pick up some more makeup remover wipes because I was running low on the ones I had.  But, when I got to the store, I decided to try something different:  I wanted to try using liquid makeup remover instead of buying more makeup remover wipes.  So, when I saw the Maybelline Expert Eyes Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover for Waterproof Eye Makeup, I was really intrigued.  During spring and summer, I prefer to wear waterproof mascara to reduce the amount of smudging and smearing that can occur due to the warmth and humidity.  However, I have always found that waterproof mascara is really difficult to remove from my lashes at the end of the day.  Perhaps the makeup remover wipes that I have used in the past were just not good enough for removing waterproof mascara.  So, I was really excited about trying this Maybelline eye makeup remover since it claims to remove waterproof eye makeup.

When I finally tried out this Maybelline eye makeup remover, I was not impressed.  I found the formula of the remover extremely liquidy and oily.  Even when I had the bottle tilted at the slightest angle, there was makeup remover gushing out of the bottle!  When I applied the makeup remover to my skin, it felt extremely slimy because the consistency is so oily.  What's even worse is that this makeup remover didn't even remove any of my eye makeup!  When I lifted the cotton round from my skin, I saw that all of my eye makeup was swirled together and smeared all over my eyelid and face.  I looked like I had a black eye!  Some of my waterproof mascara and my black liquid eyeliner had mixed with my eyeshadow on my eyelid.  However, the majority of the waterproof mascara was still on my lashes.  After wiping my eye area profusely with clean tissues, I I still had black smudges on my face and my skin still felt slimy and oily.

After my first use of this Maybelline makeup remover, I told myself that I should give it a few more chances.  I thought that maybe I just needed to learn how to use it properly.  However, after repeated uses with the exact same results, I have given up on this product.  At this point, even though I hate not using up all of the products I buy, I just want to throw it away!

Have you had a similar experience with this makeup remover?  Do you have any suggestions for a good waterproof eye makeup remover?  Let me know down in the comments below!  I'd love to hear from you :)

I hope you enjoyed this review, and let me know if you have any questions or requests in the comments below as well!
