My DIY Dupe for the JewelMint Pearl Fleur Necklace!

Hey everyone!

I recently saw a picture of the JewelMint Pearl Fleur Necklace, and I fell in love with how simple yet pretty it is!  However, I can't buy it since it's sold out on the website.  So, I decided to DIY it!

I think that this is a great jewelry piece to add to your collection.  It's simple, classic, and timeless.  Just adding this necklace would help make any outfit look a lot more chic, polished, and elegant.  It would look lovely with a simple, black sheath dress for a professional or business casual event.  I also think that the pearl ring on this necklace is simply gorgeous; the ring has a nice balance of shine and class.  The wavy design of the crystals around the pearl is another really nice detail.  The best part about this necklace is that it's a 2-for-1 deal!  You could wear it as a necklace or as a ring if you take the ring off the chain.

This is my version of the JewelMint Pearl Fleur Necklace:

I used a thicker silver chain because that happened to be the only silver chain I had on hand.  You could definitely use a thin or thick chain when you make your necklace.  Also, the JewelMint necklace is 18" in length, but I just made my necklace a length that I thought would look good on me.  I'm not even sure how long the chain is.  I do recommend that you attach an extender to your chain when you make your necklace because it will give you some wiggle room in terms of chain length; it gives you an option to wear your necklace at longer or shorter lengths.

I think that the pearl ring I found looks quite similar to the ring JewelMint used!  However, it really doesn't matter what ring you choose to use for your necklace.  As long as you like it and you can wear it as a ring on your fingers, then you should use it!

Review of Kiss Nail Dress Fashion That Sticks Fashion Strips

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I recently received the Kiss Nail Dress Fashion Strips in #56709 KDS11 in my Influenster Love VoxBox, and I wanted to share with you my thoughts on this product now that I have used it.

I was so excited to try out this product because it has a really fun silver and black leopard print.  I was ready to switch up my usual nail polish routine with a fun multicolored design!

This is what these Kiss Nail strips look like on my nails:

Pros:
  • These nail strips have fun, intricate designs that would be difficult to recreate via nail art without professional help or extensive practice.
  • It's quick and easy to apply these nail strips.  So, if you don't have enough time to neatly paint your nails, then these nail strips are a great option.  You do need to be able to place the nail strips on your nail to cover as much of your nail as possible.
  • These nail strips don't chip.  So, if you don't like it when your nail polish chips, then you might like these nail strips!
Cons:
  • It would be nice if the pack of 28 strips had more small nail strip sizes.  I found it pretty difficult to find  strips that were small enough to fit all of my fingers.  Since I had to use some strips that were too wide for my nails, some parts of the nail strips stuck to my fingers, not my nails.
  • Right after applying these nail strips, I was worried that the nail strips would not be strong enough to stick firmly to my nails.  It seems like these nail strips would lift fairly easily, which means they would not be able to last for long.
Tips:
  • Cut off most of the excess parts of the nail strips before filing down the rest to fit it to your nails.  This step makes it so much easier to get rid of the remaining excess parts of the nail strip.
  • Apply a layer of top coat over the nail strips to prevent them from lifting.
Overall, I liked these Kiss Nail strips.  I would probably buy some more in different patterns for when I get bored of painting my nails with one color.  So, if you're interested in trying out these Kiss Nail strips or want to try something different, then I recommend that you pick up a pack of these nail strips.

MDoubleM Review and Giveaway: Cute Wooden Box Perfect for Organizing Jewelry

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

See the bottom of this post for the Rafflecopter form to enter the giveaway.

I recently discovered this lovely Etsy shop, MDoubleM, that has a variety of decoupaged home decor and accessories, including candle holders, decorative boxes, picture frames, and coasters.

I received this cute, little square wooden box to review:

Since I love the musical The Phantom of the Opera, I really enjoy the Phantom of the Opera text on the lid.  I also think that the music notes cut from the same text is a really nice touch.  The box seems to be very sturdy and the paper cutouts are securely attached to the box.  I really enjoy the vibrant purple color for this box, and it has a fairly large space for storing stuff.  This box would be really great for organizing all sorts of little things.  For instance, this box is a perfect size for storing lots of plastic earring backs.  Or, it could be used to hold your favorite rings or commonly worn studs.  If you have supplies for making your own jewelry, then this box would be great for storing beads, clasps, etc.  Even if you don't want to store anything in the box, it would look beautiful sitting on a dresser.

The owner of MDoubleM, Monica, has generously offered a box of the winner's choice and a $10 gift certificate to the store.  Or, if you're an International reader, the prize is a $16 gift certificate to the store, instead.  Thanks, Monica!

Review of Gillette Venus & Olay Razor

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I recently received a Gillette Venus & Olay Razor in my Influenster Love VoxBox, and I wanted to share with you my thoughts on this product.

I have used many Gillette Venus razors over the years, and I was using the Gillette Venus Embrace before this new razor.  Since I have had great results from my other Gillette Venus razors, I had high expectations for this new razor system.

I think that this Venus & Olay razor works wonderfully.  The 5 blades really work to give me a close shave because I don't feel any stubble right after using this razor.  I also love how the shape of the razor head helps to prevent severe razor cuts when shaving over bony surfaces.  I did notice that the moisture bars really work to help lock-in the moisture when you're shaving in the shower; my skin has been noticeably more moisturized ever since I started using this razor.  So, this razor does a great job of meeting part of my moisturization needs.  When I get out of the shower, I just put on a little bit of body lotion and my skin feels smooth, soft, and moisturized.

Overall, I love this razor and I definitely recommend that you go pick up this razor system if you are in need of a new razor.  You won't regret it!

I hope you enjoyed this review, and let me know if you have any questions or requests in the comments below!

Truvia® Natural Sweetener Product Review

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I recently received a pack of Truvia Natural Sweetener in my Influenster Love VoxBox, and I wanted to share with you my thoughts on this product now that I have used it.

I have always used real sugar whenever I've wanted to sweeten my drinks or something I'm eating.  So, I was pretty intrigued by this product and wanted to know how it would compare to regular sugar.  Basically, Truvia is an extract taken from stevia leaves.  Hence, the sweet taste of Truvia is a natural characteristic of those leaves.

When I opened my first pack of Truvia, I noticed a very sweet scent that smelled like vanilla.  I also noticed that the Truvia grains don't look like sugar grains.  Sugar is normally uniform and cube shaped whereas the Truvia grains ranged from powder to big and spherical.  The Truvia seemed to dissolve into my tea just like sugar.  After my first sip of Truvia sweetened tea, I noticed that the Truvia didn't taste like regular sugar; I think that Truvia tastes like high-fructose corn syrup.  After drinking some more, I also noticed that the sweet taste of Truvia lasts longer than regular sugar.

Overall, I think Truvia would be great product to try out if you are trying to cut down on your sugar consumption or are trying to lose weight.  Also, if you have diabetes, this might be a great ingredient to add to your food because it does not affect the glucose levels in your body.  Since I don't think I need to change my sugar consumption and I prefer the taste of real sugar, I think I'll just stick to my regular sugar.

Review of Stash Herbal Tea Sampler

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I recently received the Stash Herbal Tea Sampler in my Influenster Love VoxBox, and I wanted to share with you my thoughts on this product.

The packaging for the sampler box is really colorful and eye-catching.  When you open the box, you can smell the delicious fruity scents. While the tea is brewing, it smells absolutely heavenly.  However, in my opinion, the tea doesn't taste as good as it smells.

Again, the 9 flavors in this sampler are Acai Berry, Blueberry Superfruit, Chamomile, Cinnamon Apple Chamomile, Lemon Ginger, Licorice Spice, Mango Passionfruit, Peppermint, and Wild Raspberry Hibiscus. I think that many of the different herbal tea flavors taste really similar.  For example, the more fruity flavored teas like Mango Passionfruit and Acai Berry taste pretty much the same to me.  I also think that those flavors taste more sour than fruity or sweet.  I do love all of the wonderful, bright colors that the different teas make when they are brewed!

You can even make some iced herbal tea with this sampler!  Just add some sugar or honey to the tea while it's still hot, mix well, and let it cool.  It ends up tasting like juice.

Overall, the Stash tea sampler is decent.  I still prefer green tea and black tea to the herbal tea, but I will probably switch up what I drink by occasionally grabbing some herbal tea.

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I love the idea of mixing metallics with color!  I also really enjoy the contrast in texture between metal and thread.  So, when I saw the DIY tutorial for this bracelet on Honestly...WTF, I just had to make it for myself.

These are my bracelets:

I absolutely adore the color schemes of these bracelets!  All of the colors pair so well together; they complement each other and highlight each others' differences.  The braided pattern of these bracelets are so beautiful!  These bracelets will work wonderfully with my wardrobe because I tend to wear a lot of clothes in similar shades.

I just love the DIY projects I have been doing lately!  So, keep your eyes out for more DIY posts and videos :)

Review of the Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Creamy Devotion Chocolate Bar

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I recently received the Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Creamy Devotion bar in my Influenster Love VoxBox, and I wanted to share with you my thoughts on this product.

Since I love chocolate, I've had my fair share of different brands and types of chocolate.  This Ghirardelli chocolate bar is definitely one of the most delicious chocolates I have ever tried.  The chocolate is so rich and creamy that it just melts in your mouth!  I was hooked after my first bite :)  Before I even knew it, I had finished off a significant chunk of the chocolate bar.

So, the next time you have a craving for chocolate, grab this Ghirardelli bar.  If you are feeling sad, angry, tired, sick, or etc., this chocolate bar is the solution to your problems!  It will leave you feeling amazingly happy and content.

I'm so glad that Ghirardelli lived up to my expectations and delivered an amazing product!  I need to go buy some more of these chocolate bars to add to my chocolate stash!

My Influenster Love VoxBox!

My blog has moved to http://www.tenderallure.com/.  To keep up with my latest posts, outfits, giveaways, and more, check out my new blog!  I would love it if you could joined me at my new blog  :)

Hey everyone!

I recently received a Love VoxBox from Influenster, and I am so excited to share with you all of the included products!  There is a range of new products from beauty to food.

Kiss Nail Dress Fashion That Sticks Fashion Strips in #56709 KDS11
I can't wait to try out these Kiss Nail Strips because they have a fun silver and black leopard print design.  I usually paint my own nails and use bright colors or pastel colors during the spring, and I've never done any nail art before.  So, the nail strips would be a great choice for switching up my normal routine by incorporating a fun design with more than one color.

I also think that these Kiss Nail Strips look really similar to the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips.  I've never tried the Sally Hansen Strips, but I think that if you like the Sally Hansen Strips, then you might want to try out the Kiss Nail Strips.  Another reason I'm excited to try the Kiss Nail Strips is that they look fast and easy to apply.  When you use regular nail polish, you often have to put on several coats, wait for the nail polish to dry, and maybe even use a base coat and/or top coat.  With the Kiss Nail Strips, it seems like you just stick them on your nails, trim them to fit your nails, and you're done!  The Kiss Nail Strips can be used for your fingers and toes, and they last up to 10 days, which is a fairly long time period.  They retail for $6.99 and are available in 18 different styles!

Stash Herbal Tea Sampler
I've never tried any herbal teas before, but these sound great because they don't have any caffeine and they are 100% natural. The sampler comes with 9 different flavors, and it retails for $3.50.

The 9 flavors in this sampler include Acai Berry, Blueberry Superfruit, Chamomile, Cinnamon Apple Chamomile, Lemon Ginger, Licorice Spice, Mango Passionfruit, Peppermint, and Wild Raspberry Hibiscus.

Truvia Natural Calorie-Free Sweetener
I normally just add sugar when I want to sweeten my drinks, but I'll have to try this sweetener and see how it tastes.  This 40 pack retails for $3.99.

Gillette Venus & Olay Razor
This new Gillette razor has 5 blades and Olay moisture bars.  The moisture bars are supposed to help lock in moisture while shaving, and the 5 blades are for a close shave.  This kit contains 1 razor, 1 cartridge, and 1 shower hook, and it retails for around $8.99 - $10.99.

Ghirardelli Gourmet Milk Creamy Devotion Bar
I definitely love chocolate, and I have high expectations for this new Ghirardelli chocolate bar because all of the Ghirardelli chocolates I've had before have been delicious.  This chocolate bar retails for $2.99.

Ok I'm off to try these products! I'll let you know what I think about them soon, so stay tuned for an upcoming review :)
